ABC news has reported that Roche Pharmaceutical Company announced on August 24, 2005 that it will donate 3 million treatments of its antiviral Tamiflu (oseltamivir) to the World Health Organization (WHO), an agency of the United Nations. The WHO would use this stockpile to respond to any potential influenza pandemic that may arise.
